A crowd favourite, the artwork sold for a record-breaking E55,000,  while a painting by Anna Bukhareva, titled; The winner takes it all was also up for grabs and went for E10,500.

Bidders can also get their hands on an artwork called Space play by Danny Doneo & Nivek, which is part of a mini collection inspired by the fascination of human interaction with play sold for E5,000.

Keith Marshall then took to the stage to make a passionate appeal to the crowd on behalf of the SiGMA Foundation. “It’s just a case of application, of resilience, and belief,” he said. ‘Ultimately we’re building lives.’

“We know that we cannot give everything to everyone, but in the same breath we know we can do something for someone.”

Keith also spoke about upcoming projects, including the inauguration of a number of schools in Ethiopia next year. Alongside the SiGMA Foundation school – Ruby Family Foundation – a self sustainable blockchain based foundation – will be investing E150 thousand in another school, while Brown’s Group of Pharmacies are taking a third under their wing.

The schools are also partly funded though charitable expeditions, including a trek through the Lost City in Colombia.

In addition to the schools, funds will be allocated to carry out surgery for 50 children suffering from cleft palates.
