Alpine Esports Endurance Cup launches this weekend

Alpine Esports, a prominent name in the world of virtual motorsport, is set to kick off its highly anticipated Alpine Esports Endurance Cup this weekend. The addition to the racing series is all set to offer sim-racers the thrill of a lifetime, as they compete in Alpine LMP2 cars on the iRacing platform across four iconic circuits. Here’s everything you need to know about the Alpine Esports Endurance Cup:

Empowering grassroots Sim racers

The Alpine Esports Endurance Cup is designed to empower grassroots sim racers, giving them a unique opportunity to showcase their talents. With a focus on nurturing emerging talents, the competition will see competitors battling it out in Alpine LMP2 cars across four challenging circuits.

The primary aim of this initiative is to foster the growth of the Esports and sim racing ecosystem, giving talented racers a platform to shine.

50 drivers, 25 teams, and Open Server qualifying

The competition is set to feature 50 drivers organized into 25 teams, all competing on the iRacing platform. To ensure a level playing field for all participants, an open server qualifying process has been established.

The qualification process occurs in two stages:

  • A week-long process prior to the race, where aspiring racers secure one of the 50 open spots. The top 50 quickest qualifiers will have the privilege to participate.
  • A 2-lap qualification session will be held just before the race, determining the starting grid for the event.

This unique approach ensures that both experienced and novice sim racers have an equal shot at competing in the Alpine Esports Endurance Cup.

The winning team of the Alpine Esports Endurance Cup will be rewarded with an all-expenses-paid experience for the 2024 WEC Round “6hrs of Spa.” This prestigious prize includes passes for the race and the opportunity to immerse themselves with the Alpine Endurance Team, providing an invaluable experience for the champions.

Catch the action live

The virtual motorsport competition will be broadcast live on Alpine’s official Twitch and YouTube channels and will feature four rounds:

  • Round 1: 4 hours of Magny-Cours – Scheduled for October 14th, 10:30 AM CEST
  • Round 2: 4 hours of Road America – Set for October 28th, 10:30 AM CEST
  • Round 3: 4 hours of Sebring – Coming up on December 2nd, 10:30 AM CET
  • Round 4: 12 hours of Fuji – The grand finale, taking place on January 6th, 10:30 AM CET

For all the sim-racing enthusiasts, this competition is bound to be a must-watch as talented racers battle it out for supremacy in Alpine’s high-speed, virtual world.
