Bollywood’s Siddhanth Kapoor to represent India in APT Poker Classic

Bollywood actor Siddhanth Kapoor (pictured above), known for his recent role in the film “Chalti Rahe Zindagi,” has partnered with Natural8 India to represent the “Journey to APT Taipei Poker Classic 2024 – India Exclusive.” This unique poker tournament will be live streamed on Natural8 India’s official YouTube channel on 4 August, offering Indian poker enthusiasts a chance to compete internationally.

Natural8 India aims to establish poker as a competitive sport in India. The tournament will feature eight finalists who will have the opportunity to play at the final table at the APT Taipei Poker Classic in Taiwan, with a chance to win prizes.

Poker in India has gained significant interest

The actor Siddhanth Kapoor, brother of star actress Shraddha Kapoor, will serve as the exclusive representative for the tournament. He expressed his enthusiasm for the event, saying, “What Natural8 India is doing to raise the game’s profile appeals to me, and I am delighted to associate with the ‘Journey to Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taipei Poker Classic 2024 – India Exclusive’ as its exclusive representative. It is set to be an exciting week of wheeling and dealing at all the tables as we see 8 top players win the ticket to the APT Taipei Poker Classic. Let the games begin!”

“Poker has rapidly evolved as a popular competitive sport in India and we, at Natural8 India, are thrilled to be at the forefront of this transformation,” said Kunal Patni, Director of Natural8 India. “This event not only offers a platform for Indian players to compete at an international level but also highlights the immense talent and potential within India’s burgeoning poker community.”

Eight finalists will receive a flight and accommodation package worth approximately INR 1.1 lakh (€1,213.30) per person. The top three players will also win main event tickets worth INR 1.3 lakh (€1,433.90) each, while players in ranks 4-8 will also receive mini main event tickets worth INR 56,500 (€623.76) each.

The tournament buy-in is INR 5,500 (€60.66), making it affordable for all poker enthusiasts.

The “Journey to APT Taipei Poker Classic 2024 – India Exclusive” is expected to be a very popular event because poker experienced a boom in India.
