Entain adds expertise to Board and welcomes Amanda Brown as Non-Executive Director

Entain has recently introduced Amanda Brown as an independent Non-Executive Director, who will also assume the role of a member on the Remuneration Committee.

Amanda Brown, in her most recent position, served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Hiscox, where she played a vital role within the senior leadership team until her departure in 2022. Currently, she holds the positions of Non-Executive Director and Remuneration Committee Chair at Mitchells & Butlers, along with being a Non-Executive Director and Chair Designate of the Remuneration Committee at the Manchester Airport Group.

Brown has also previously served as a Non-Executive Director and Remuneration Committee Chair at Micro Focus International. She boasts a degree in English from Reading University.

This significant appointment precedes Entain’s forthcoming Q3 update, scheduled for this Thursday. This update comes on the heels of Entain’s report of a remarkable 14 percent increase in net gaming revenue (NGR) during the first half of 2023.

Barry Gibson, Chairman of Entain, expressed his enthusiasm for Amanda Brown’s appointment, stating, “On behalf of the Board, I am delighted to welcome Amanda to Entain. Amanda brings a wealth of international business and board experience. I am confident that her skills and expertise will further strengthen the Board’s capacity to support and oversee the execution of our strategic objectives.”

It’s worth noting that at the end of September, Entain’s share price experienced a significant decline of over 30 percent compared to its value from the previous year, primarily due to regulatory challenges.
