Flutter rebrands PokerStars and launches Vegas Infinite

Flutter Entertainment is embarking on an exciting journey of rebranding and revamping its renowned virtual reality social casino product, PokerStars VR. The transformation brings in a new era as the product is launched as “Vegas Infinite,” offering players an even more immersive and expanded gaming experience.

Comprehensive rebranding

The decision to rename PokerStars VR as Vegas Infinite is part of a comprehensive overhaul of this free-to-play social casino game. This virtual reality offering, initially launched by PokerStars in 2018, has gained significant traction over the years, and its evolution has continued following Flutter’s acquisition of the PokerStars brand in 2021.

From poker to much more

Originally conceived as a virtual poker experience, PokerStars VR has evolved into a dynamic social casino platform. Players can gather with friends at virtual poker tables, engage in real-time conversations and interact seamlessly with their digital surroundings. This evolution has seen the addition of various casino games, including blackjack, roulette, slots and the exciting Rocket Rush. Spin & Go poker. The Metaverse Poker Tour has further enriched the offering. To enhance the player experience, Vegas Infinite also integrates the ToxMod AI live chat monitoring tool to assist users during their gaming sessions.

All-New Vegas Infinite

The reimagined Vegas Infinite introduces players to a redesigned 3D virtual cityscape, complete with personalized player suites and opulent casinos. PC players can now join the Vegas Infinite community on Steam VR and Meta Quest VR, without the need for a virtual reality headset.

James O’Reilly, Director of VR and Innovation at PokerStars, shared his excitement about this transformation, stating, “As we approach our fifth anniversary, it’s incredible to think how far our game has come. From a cutting-edge experiment in applying virtual reality to the poker table, we’ve grown to become a living entertainment destination. We have a full suite of games and experiences played in otherworldly environments that are home to an avid community of players. Today, we’re much more than poker and much more than VR. Vegas Infinite is where we’re taking our players next, and there’s lots more in store.”

This rebranding and expansion signify Flutter Entertainment’s commitment to providing an unparalleled gaming experience, embracing the future of virtual entertainment, catering to the ever-evolving preferences of its player community.

Growth of social casino

Overall, it seems that Flutter is taking a proactive approach to evolve its social casino gaming business, capitalizing on the potential of VR and a broader range of games while prioritizing player satisfaction and safety. The company’s willingness to adapt and expand suggests a positive outlook for its future in the gaming industry. However, the ultimate success will depend on how well these changes are received by the gaming community and the effectiveness of their marketing and user acquisition strategies following this relaunch. By creating an “avid community of players”, Flutter demonstrates a focus on community building, which can be crucial for the long-term success of online multiplayer games.
