Galaxy to launch boutique hotel in Macau high-tech theme park

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) Vice Chairman Francis Lui (in photo above), announced this week that the company is set to open a distinctive boutique hotel, a pivotal addition to the ongoing development of Galaxy Macau Phase 3.

Galaxy Macau aimed for high-end visitors

Lui shared this exciting news during the official inauguration of Phase 3, which has already introduced notable facilities such as the Galaxy International Convention Center (GICC), Galaxy Arena, Andaz Macau, and Raffles at Galaxy Macau.

While Phase 3’s initial facilities were launched earlier this year, Lui disclosed that four additional projects are still in progress, hinting at the anticipation of future developments like Phase 4, details of which will be revealed in due course.

Diverse portfolio of nine distinct brands

Speaking about the forthcoming boutique hotel, slated to be Galaxy’s 10th hotel, Lui expressed, “This new hotel will be a boutique establishment, offering an exclusive experience with no more than 100 rooms. We aspire to bring an unprecedented hotel brand to Macau, targeting high-end customers and adding a unique hotel product to enhance the visitor experience.”

Although specifics about the hotel, including its name and distinctive offerings, remain undisclosed, Lui emphasized, “This is a specialty hotel, with no more than 100 rooms. The positioning is hopefully for high-end customers, and the hotel brand is world-renowned. We will introduce the new project to the public when the time is right, aiming to complete a significant portion of this hotel next year.”

Expanding hospitality empire

Galaxy Entertainment Group currently boasts an impressive array of nine distinctive hotel brands across its two Macau properties. From the opulence of StarWorld to the sophistication of Raffles at Galaxy Macau, each brand contributes to Galaxy’s reputation for providing unparalleled hospitality experiences. The portfolio also includes Galaxy Hotel, Hotel Okura Macau, JW Marriott Hotel Macau, Broadway Macau, and Andaz Macau, showcasing a diverse range of offerings to cater to various preferences.

Innovation in entertainment

Addressing previously announced plans, Lui shared insights into GEG’s vision for a high-tech theme park, forming part of the company’s investment commitment under the 10-year concession signed last December. Although specifics remain under wraps due to a confidentiality agreement with partners, Lui assured that once plans are finalized, consultation with the SAR Government will commence, marking the initial phase of this innovative project.

With a plethora of entertainment and sports initiatives in the pipeline, including the WTT World Cup and women’s volleyball, Galaxy Entertainment Group reaffirms its dedication to shaping the future landscape of Macau’s entertainment sector.
