Gaming Innovation Group appoints industry veteran Andrew Cochrane as Chief Business Officer

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has made a significant move in its quest for growth by appointing Andrew Cochrane, a former executive from SBTech and DraftKings, as its new Chief Business Officer (CBO) for Platform & Sportsbook.

This announcement confirms GiG’s ambitious expansion plans and commitment to staying at the forefront of the gaming industry.

Andrew Cochrane is a well-regarded figure within the gaming sector, known for his ability to drive commercial success. He played a pivotal role in SBTech’s remarkable revenue growth and helped establish DraftKings as a dominant force in the US market. His expertise in customer relations, particularly with tier-1 and lottery operators, is widely recognized, and he has personally led the charge on numerous high-profile contracts that fueled revenue growth in both emerging and established regulated markets.

Teaming up with GiG’s recently appointed CEO for Platform & Sportsbook, Richard Carter, for the second time, Cochrane and Carter aim to fuel GiG’s innovative product suite with new partnerships in burgeoning global markets. Their goal is to solidify GiG’s position as a market leader for turnkey solutions.”

Former SBTech and DraftKings xxecutive to lead ambitious growth plans

In his role as CBO, Andrew Cochrane will be responsible for implementing GiG’s commercial strategies across its comprehensive range of award-winning iGaming platforms, sportsbooks, and AI-powered solutions. This includes overseeing business development, marketing, partnerships, and corporate development. Initially, Cochrane will focus on attracting top talent to GiG to unlock the vast potential in the global markets that the company serves.

GiG’s innovative AI-driven technology stack currently powers more than 60 brands in some of the world’s most complex markets, earning accolades from industry insiders. The company’s momentum has been further bolstered by its recent recognition at the 2023 EGR Global B2B awards, where it received accolades for its “Full Service Platform” and “Multi-Channel Supplier” offerings.
