Navigating tech trends and challenges with PIN-UP.TECH CTO

Kyrylo Aistrakhanov (pictured), CTO of PIN-UP.TECH, told SiGMA News about the benefits of tech companies’ presence at SiGMA conferences on the experience of the recent summit in Budapest and the challenges that the tech community is facing now.

The trends of personalisation, work with content, segmentation, work with data and data-driven approaches are still relevant. Almost all companies in the sector have systems for segmentation, boosting retention, and refining content for different user groups. There is also a trend towards automation of operational tasks with the help of AI. Everything related to cloud solutions and the transition to the cloud remains relevant as well. Solutions related to ML, separate from AI, anti-fraud, various solutions and predictions on churn, on traffic payback, Kyrylo lists.

‘Reducing user chains in terms of product, i.e. anything that reduces user time to deposit or to play, including KYC procedures, remains relevant.’ – Kyrylo Aistrakhanov

PIN-UP.TECH utilises trending technologies to the maximum. The company has already formed a separate AI-department that deals with CRM and call centre optimisation. Also, when it comes to Big Data and Data platform, the team has formed a dedicated data department. It collects data that will enable faster business decisions based on insights and the development of new products related to recommendation models and traffic payback.

The team led by Kyrylo continues to work with cloud solutions, including the development of a hybrid cloud, which allows the use of different solutions and the development of expertise within the segment.

Challenges for tech professionals developing projects for online entertainment

Firstly, it is scaling and withstanding loads due to a large number of users, a large number of integrations. The main challenges that tech teams are trying to deal with are availability and scalability of systems. Secondly, it is about speed of operation so that the user can access the entertainment product as quickly as possible.

SiGMA significance for the technical iGaming community

First of all, such events are an opportunity to see other industry leaders in person, exchange experience and future plans with them, Kyrylo shares. As well as to make new contacts and be inspired by the vision of others for the product development within their sector.

According to Aistrakhanov, networking at SiGMA Eastern Europe was really up to par. At first he thought that the conference was quite small and there would be few meetings, but both days turned out to be rich and productive. As a result – lots of new contacts, relevant acquaintances and win-win negotiations.

‘At SiGMA Eastern Europe we got to know the technical solution providers interesting to us on KYC, we had guys coming to us with complex sports platform integrations, with AI solutions.’’ – CTO PIN-UP.TECH Kyrylo Aistrakhanov

Is it difficult to represent a tech brand at such a conference? No, not difficult, says Kyrylo. Anyway, iGaming does not exist without technology, and you need to present yourself. At such conferences as SiGMA, we are approached by summit participants who are interested in our technical solutions, where we host, what integrations we have, their speed, load-bearing capabilities, geo. In general, here they are trying to understand how our in-house kitchen works. How we deal with risk, what approaches we use in development, how and where we scale.

The PIN-UP.TECH team was also asked a lot of questions about the Data Platform and AI department, how their partnership works, what people/roles/technologies exist in the tech department. In short, there was a lot of interest and communication, respectively, too, concludes Aistrakhanov.
