Raketech elevates its board expertise

iGaming affiliate group Raketech has strengthened its board of directors with strategic appointments at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM).

Marina Andersson, (in photo above on the right), an M&A expert currently heading the M&A division at Stillfront Group together with Patrick Jonker, (in photo above on the left), former CEO of Hero Gaming, have been unanimously approved to join the board, filling the vacancies left by the resignations of Pierre Cadena and Johan Svensson in October.

Marina Andersson’s expertise

Marina Andersson brings a wealth of experience to Raketech, having served as the head of M&A at Stillfront Group, a Swedish online game developer catering to over 50 million players monthly.

With a background as the director of corporate finance at Deloitte Sweden and a director at ICECAPITAL Securities AB, Andersson is well-versed in M&A, capital markets, financial advisory, and company valuation. Raketech through Andersson’s appointment will enhance gender diversity on the board, with the total proportion of female board members now standing at 40 percent.

Patrick Jonker pedigree in iGaming

Former Hero Gaming CEO Patrick Jonker joins the board, bringing a rich history in the iGaming sector. With past leadership roles at Mr Green Limited and Betsson Group, Jonker boasts extensive experience in both online casino and sports betting operations. Raketech selected Jonker for his valuable expertise gained from senior positions within international casino and sports betting operators. This highlights the strategic advantage he brings to the board.

Raketech’s financial success and Q3 results

Raketech’s latest board appointments align with the company’s strategic shift towards focusing on higher quality assets in the affiliate sector.

CEO Oskar Mühlbach emphasized this change in approach earlier this year, prioritizing a select group of superior brands.

In Q3 2023, Raketech reported impressive financial results, with revenue reaching €21.5 million, reflecting a robust year-on-year growth of 65.8 percent. Adjusted EBITDA for the same period came in at €5.6 million, marking a notable increase of 16.5%.

As the company continues to evolve its strategy and board composition, Raketech Group Holding PLC (RAKE.ST) is currently trading at SEK16.36, reflecting a 0.86 percent increase.

The addition of Marina Andersson and Patrick Jonker to the board positions Raketech for strategic growth and success in the ever-evolving landscape of the iGaming industry.
