SiGMA Foundation’s latest adventure at Dreams of horses farm

Dreams of horses is a beautiful farm located in Ramla Valley on the outskirts of Xaghra Village, Gozo

This weekend, as part of SiGMA Foundation’s charitable initiative’s, the charity made a stop at the Dreams of Horses farm in Xaghra, Gozo.

The farm provides horse-assisted activities to children and adults with physical, social and emotional difficulties. The facility welcomes everyone willing to help it to grow bigger, whether financially or by helping at the farms by planting trees, vegetables, or ploughing the farm.

SiGMA foudnation- Farm- Gozo-jpgVictor, who is responsible for managing the farm, says: “It is my duty to inform the general public about the importance of these creatures, how to greet them and humour them. Nature is vital for our survival. I would like that anyone who walks into this farm to experience a new world, assumes a new feeling.

‘I am welcoming all the people to join and witness what we have brought to nature. Most of us have watched horses on TV shows and movies but today I will be more than happy to teach you all how to really greet with horses.

‘How to gratefully protect these animals. You are all more than welcome to join and witness this amazing world.”

I had a very strong feeling that this place was a paradise. Since then, I said that our foundation should bring the general public here and explain to them in detail what exactly happens here.’

One can sit on the fence and watch the world go by or alternatively, that same person could get involved. Engaged, striving for betterment. It’s all about choices. Simple.

My part as a contributory highlights the fact that this has been going on in this facility. I strongly suggest people join us and see this delightful function.”

SiGMA Foundation, alongside SiGMA Squad team members, contributed to ploughing the farm, cleaning up the trash and planting 60 trees. Each weekend they will be participating in different SiGMA Foundation activities. They encourage their employees and any willing volunteers to freely join these worthwhile adventures and contribute their part in this journey.

Squad member, Sirine Said, who works as a conference coordinator for SiGMA said, ‘My experience at Dreams of Horses is one of the most exciting, fun, challenging, and educational experiences I have ever had. It was a good way to get out of my comfort zone – for people who love outdoor activities I highly recommend it.
