“The road to success is never easy” – Nina Sparv, Epicorns
Nina Sparv, Co-Founder of Epicorns, joins the latest series of affiliate interviews on Affiliate Grand Slam
Nina Sparv is one of the 300 affiliates that AGS is flying to SiGMA Malta – follow her story below.
How long have you been in this industry?
I joined the industry as a content writer back in 2013, so this would be my 9th year working within iGaming. Times flies, to be honest these years has passed by very quickly. What I love the most about this industry (in addition to the fact that I love gambling haha) is that it offers you a lot of possibilities to grow professionally if you seek that.
What brought you into the affiliate world?
I’ve always been a very ambitious person and thanks to that I eventually set up my own affiliate company. While working as a brand manager in Cyprus for several white-labeled casino brands, I attended many affiliate conferences. After attending a few of them I realized that affiliate marketing and being affiliate as such, was very cool, or at least that was what I was thinking. I still think that’s the case, especially being now an affiliate.
My partner was working in the same company as an SEO at the time, I knew something about SEO but didn’t really understand much of it. Long story short, from one day to another we decided together to start building affiliate websites, on SEO basis. He did the SEO parts, and I wrote all the content while learning SEO meanwhile. I’ve learned so much during these years and our company is a real example of that failure, after failure, after failure, you will finally achieve success. Epicorns is now a successful company with over 40 employees working full-time, but the road to success is never easy that’s for sure.
What are you expecting to get out of the event?
I’m really excited to meet both existing and new business partners, and of course people that have become real friends during these years while working within the industry. I’m expecting to have a lot of fun (obviously) and to be able to create better relationships with the operators that we currently work with, but also to be able to discuss new business opportunities with operators that we don’t work with yet.
What are you most looking forward to?
In addition to the conference, the networking events. Since I live in Andorra, and I have never basically lived in an iGaming hub like Malta, it’s very nice to have the opportunity to attend exclusive networking events.
Who are you most looking forward to meeting and why?
Nobody in particular, but as mentioned before I’m super excited to meet friends, current business partners, and also possible new business partners.
Which websites and products fall under your portfolio?
Currently Epicorns has probably around 300 different websites within various sectors but our main focus is, and has always been, iGaming. In addition to affiliate websites, we also offer link building services.
We are now focusing on some new websites like Casinochase.com, which is now available in Spanish for Spanish players, but we will also push this website to be international in several other languages. Another interesting new sector and project is Tradingagora.com that is focusing on trading, crypto, and investments.
What makes your traffic proposition/traffic sites unique?
All our websites are SEO websites, and we try to always focus on high quality keywords. For us, it’s more important to be able to provide high quality traffic, than to be able to provide a lot of traffic. Quality over quantity is something that Epicorns has always been known for.
Have you ever been to SiGMA before?
Yes! And I love the conference. I’m very grateful to be invited once again this year.
