37% of casino goers want masks worn by staff

This percentage of adults wishing casino employees to wear masks was concluded in a survey by YouGov

This number was extracted from data gathered of adults aged 18 or older in 17 different markets, with the overall average of consumers preferring staff to wear face masks in casinos being 37%, even as the daily rate of Coronavirus infections stays low and the percentage of people vaccinated grows in the given countries.

Masked InterviewThe question was posed with the given scenario of 60% of the population being vaccinated. More than half the individuals questioned would prefer masked staff in Mexico, Spain and Singapore. In the UK and US, countries with remarkably high vaccination rates, the number was just a little lower with 46% and 45%.

It is possible that such high numbers will influence early post-Covid policies on whether or not face masks will be obligatory in casinos. In Las Vegas, Wynn Resorts had recently reopened at 80% capacity due to 88% of their staff being fully vaccinated. Face masks however remained obligatory indoors for both employees and customers.

Denmark, Sweden, Indonesia, Australia, China and France however had much lower rates of people preferring mask policies to remain in place, all below 30%.
