Novomatic expands Italy presence with HBG acquisition
Novomatic’s Italian unit has completed the acquisition of 80 percent of HBG Gaming, a firm operating bingo and other online games in Italy.
The company said the acquisition would combine Novomatic’s technological know-how, with HBG’s wide retail footprint. It gave no financial details.
The acquisition comes as Novomatic celebrates 15 years of operations in Italy.
“With the acquisition of 80 percent of HBC, Novomatic completes a period of corporate growth, which has generated excellent results in both the B2B and B2C market,” said Markus Buechele, CEO of Novomatic Italia.
In the last ten years, the NOVOMATIC AG Group has almost tripled the number of its employees worldwide, reaching 21,000 units, both through organic growth and through acquisitions.
In Italy, it acquired MG Gaming and Electro System in 2016.
