SiGMA CIS announces Ukraine expo for 2022

The supershow will explore the CIS region, including Ukraine’s newly regulated marketplace

SiGMA Group has announced the launch of a new region for its 2022 calendar of events – SiGMA CIS. The events and media company will launch its first event in Ukraine, with plans for the expo to take place in August 2022 on the 22nd to 25th.

The networking expo will explore the growing sports betting and gaming opportunities in the region, as well as take a 360 degree look at how the gaming market is faring under the new legislation, with plenty of hard-hitting panels lined up during the conference. Opportunities for knowledge sharing will be plentiful, with several expert-led workshops also in the works.

SiGMA is excited to play a role in bringing local and international operators, affiliates, and suppliers together for a super-show combining complementary verticals in emerging tech, marketing affiliation and gaming. Expect premier networking, big names on the conference circuit, and a top notch expo floor showcasing products tailored to this recently legislated marketplace.

A number of intimate, lavish dinners catering to a VIP crowd are also scheduled to take place around the event as well as an awards gala evening to celebrate stand-out companies and individuals from the sector and a Startup Pitch designed to help young companies hoping to become unicorns.

Ukraine offers a great location for operators keen to take a look at the new opportunities developing in the CIS region, with the country open for business after getting the long-awaited green light to kickstart the gaming sector – a milestone decision for the region as a whole.

Why Ukraine?

There has never been a better time to pursue business opportunities in the CIS region, with a business friendly setup making waves in international circles after online and land-based operations became legal in 2020.

Ukraine issued their first licence to an online casino operator in February 2021, a powerful signal to both domestic and foreign investors that the gambling and entertainment industry is ripe for the picking.

In line with responsible gambling commitments, Ukrainian gambling regulator Krail also launched a register of excluded players – a topic attendees can expect to see much discussed during the summit. We’ll also be exploring opportunities outside of Ukraine. From Georgia to the Baltics, the CIS region is on track to becoming a formidable rival to more established gaming hubs across Europe – and a solid player on the global stage.
