Denise Coates Foundation donated a sum of money to University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM). The hospital speakers said they were ‘extremely grateful’ and the money would support staff and patients ‘during Covid-19 and beyond’. They added that coronavirus had highlighted the fact that the hospital was sometimes ‘lacking the technology’ to work in the ‘most effective way’.

The money from the donation will be invested in technology to improve communications between clinicians, patients and families, UHNM said. Furthermore, it will be invested into mental health and social care services in the community, affected by COVID-19, ‘to support them, to support us’.

A third portion will be put towards redeveloping the trust’s cancer center.

Bet365 is one of the world’s leading online gambling companies with the most comprehensive In-Play service. The company has recently spent €70 million in order to relocate their staff from Gibraltar to Malta making it the main licensing hub for the company, the main reason being “the mitigation of the impact of Brexit.” Back in June the former Prime Minister of Malta Joseph Muscat said in a tweet that he welcomed the company, adding that it was envisaged that the company would be doubling its footprint in Malta. The business boasts revenues of around €1.5 billion per year.
