Gentoo Media Inc, levelling up in the iGaming arena

Gentoo Media has officially rebranded and added “Inc.” to its name, signifying the start of a new chapter for the company. With these changes, Gentoo Media Inc. is poised to strengthen its position in the iGaming industry and maintain its strategic partnerships, such as the renewed agreement with Betsson Group Affiliates (BGA).

Evolution of Gentoo Media

Gentoo Media, formerly known as GiG Media, aligns with the company’s strategy to clearly differentiate its media division from its platform division. By introducing this new name, Gentoo Media Inc. aims to reflect the dynamic, growing nature of the business.

The renaming to Gentoo Media Inc. is not just a cosmetic shift. This strategic decision is part of an overarching restructuring plan that will see GiG Media’s divisions separated into independent entities. By separating the media and platform divisions, Gentoo Media Inc. can focus on its core competencies in iGaming media, while the platform and sportsbook division will operate under GiG Software PLC. The restructuring process is expected to be completed by 30 September 2024.

Gentoo Media Inc. will continue its dual listing on two prominent stock exchanges, Norway’s Oslo Stock Exchange and the Swedish Nasdaq Stockholm. The company’s stocks will trade under the symbol G2MNO in Oslo and the abbreviation G2M in Stockholm.

Extended partnership with Betsson Group

One of the highlights of Gentoo Media’s recent news is the extension of its partnership with Betsson Group Affiliates (BGA). This collaboration, now entering its fifth consecutive year, underscores the strength of their relationship and the mutual benefits it has delivered.

Under this extended agreement, Betsson Group Affiliates will continue to rely on Gentoo Media’s proprietary compliance tool, GiG Comply. GiG Comply is a custom-built solution that helps operators stay compliant with various advertising regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

In recent years, regulatory authorities across the globe have increased their oversight of online gambling companies. Tools like GiG Comply have become indispensable in helping companies navigate this complex regulatory environment. As Gentoo Media Inc. focuses on its media operations, the newly formed GiG Software PLC will take over the platform and sportsbook division.

With the restructuring in place and its media division fully independent, Gentoo Media Inc. is well-positioned to strengthen its market presence. The company’s focus on compliance, innovation, and strategic partnerships will be pivotal in its growth trajectory.
