GGPoker, a leading name in the global online poker scene, has announced a new partnership with PokerArabia, Lebanon’s only government-licenced online poker platform.

Starting September 1, PokerArabia will migrate its player base to the GGPoker platform, enabling Lebanese players to participate in some of the most prestigious poker tournaments worldwide. This partnership aims to provide Lebanese players access to GGPoker’s extensive tournament offerings, including a chance to compete for 33 bracelets in the upcoming World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online 2024.

Sarne Lightman, Managing Director of GGPoker, expressed his excitement about this collaboration, stating, “We are incredibly excited to welcome PokerArabia players to the GGPoker family. This partnership with Casino Du Liban underscores our commitment to bringing global liquidity and the best online poker experience to players worldwide.” Lightman emphasised that this integration allows Lebanese players to join the world’s largest poker community and participate in some of the biggest and best poker games and tournaments.

Enhancing the online poker experience

Jad Gharios, Chairman and CEO of Onlive Support Services, the operator behind PokerArabia, echoed the enthusiasm for the new partnership. “We are constantly looking to provide our clients with the best services and products in the market, and our partnership with GGPoker complements this direction,” Gharios remarked. He further noted their anticipation for the online launch, which will bring WSOP Online tournaments to the region and potentially host a live WSOP event at Lebanon’s renowned Casino du Liban.

This partnership marks a step forward in GGPoker’s efforts to expand its global presence and enhance its offerings in the Middle East. By integrating PokerArabia’s player base into GGPoker’s vast network, Lebanese players will gain access to a wide range of poker games, including major international tournaments.

A milestone for Middle Eastern poker

PokerArabia, under the management of Casino du Liban, has been a staple in the Lebanese gaming community since its establishment. This collaboration with GGPoker represents a milestone for online poker in the Middle East, providing local players unprecedented opportunities to engage with a broader poker community and participate in high-stakes competitions.

As GGPoker prepares to welcome PokerArabia’s players, both companies remain optimistic about the future. The partnership not only brings enhanced gaming experiences to the region but also sets the stage for future events that will further cement Lebanon’s position in the global poker arena. Gharios concluded, “We look forward to the online launch, offering WSOP Online to the region, and hosting a live WSOP event at the historically acclaimed Casino du Liban in the near future.”
