SiGMA Foundation announces new educational initiative in Ethiopia

SiGMA Foundation need your help in raising funds to educate, feed & protect young children in Ethiopia

A plea goes out from the SiGMA Foundation and its partners in Ethiopia, Gozo-based charity Missionary Movement Jesus in Thy Neighbor for financial help in running a numbers of kindergartens in the Jimma Bonga vicariate of Ethiopia.

Mathew SMatthew Spiteri from the SiGMA Foundation had these words to say, ‘After having travelled to Ethiopia on various occasions, we have witnessed the sterling work being carried out by the Moviment, Fr Samuel Yohannes and his people on the ground. They have selflessly worked so hard to build and run these projects but times are hard.

This is the reason why we’re turning to the public to contribute to this cause. We have managed to reel in some generous hearts that have heard our cry for help but we need more…we need to go that extra yard. When one considers that for as little as 3000€ a year we can EDUCATE, FEED & PROTECT 200 kids in one of our kindergartens, we know getting there is not an impossible task. We need to reach out collectively and bridge that gap. It is our duty and their right.

To facilitate funding of these schools we took the initiative to set up our schools on www.passitforward.com, a public charity funding website, so even if you can’t sponsor a school as a whole, you can donate whatever you want towards a project of your choice, and we wholeheartedly encourage you to do so!’

patricia vella‘We are into our second year of assisting with the subsistence of one of SiGMA Foundation’s kindergartens in Ethiopia and helping out in this cause has been one of the best things we’ve ever done! Come on guys, there’s so much love to be given out there!’

‘We strive to support various NGOs both locally and internationally. Working with SiGMA Foundation on this project has given us access to offer life changing opportunities to children who are deprived of basic needs, education in particular, and we are proud to have done so. We encourage other organizations to follow suit as with our kindness we can give hope and endless opportunities to those who live through so much poverty.’

Marie Theobald, Chief People Officer at Hero Gaming

Kieth marshall‘Most of these children have nothing. They depend on us for subsistence, without this their future would be very, very bleak. Consider for a second in time that it could easily have been you or I instead of that child. Even worse, that child could be your child. Please be with us… just like the people in this article have shown empathy and compassion then so can you. This could be your moment to shine, to really show solidarity with those that are deserving of it. To express kindness with some of the underprivileged children in this world’
