SiGMA Group and MTA look to put Malta on the map

The partnership will look to increase MICE tourism in the Maltese Islands by bringing delegates from all over the world for SiGMA Europe

SiGMA Group, a leading events and media company for gaming and tech industry, is proud to announce a partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA), a national non-profit government organisation

The new partnership will allow SiGMA Group to gain a stronger foothold in the events industry due to the MTA’s subsidiary “Conventions Malta” that focuses on conference and incentive travel to the Maltese Islands.

Therefore, this new agreement will allow SiGMA to bring more delegates and attendees from around the globe for their world-renowned event – SiGMA Europe. Together, SiGMA and the MTA, will bring top professionals from the gaming and tech industry to network in a unique setting. The 6th edition Eman Pulis of SiGMA Europe in 2019 saw a record breaking 15,000 delegates welcomed through its doors and the expo has certainly cemented itself as a solid fixture on the world’s Gaming calendar.

Founder of SiGMA Group, Eman Pulis (right), said:

I am delighted to announce the agreement between SiGMA Group and the MTA. The partnership will certainly enhance our events by encouraging MICE tourism. I look forward to joining the MTA in putting Malta on the map globally while also seeing SiGMA’s events benefit from this strategic partnership.”

Meanwhile, in an upcoming interview with SiGMA TV, Director of Conventions Malta – Christophe Berger, had his say on the current climate on tourism in Malta:

In order to recover we need to have the same connectivity we had in 2019. We need to rethink our recovery, we need to rethink our business model, how attractive we are. And I think we are very attractive. As an island – post COVID-19 we are definitely going to be successful. It all depends on one thing as well – the competition around us. We need to give a better service, to look at different kind of quality and the way we are giving an experience to tourism.

The partnership between the two will certainly aid Malta’s recovery in the tourism industry.
