Solaire Resort North opens; PAGCOR says new IR sets benchmark for the Philippines

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco commended Bloomberry Resorts Corporation for the inauguration of the Solaire Resort North. He declared the new luxury development as an “instant landmark destination” in Quezon City.

Speaking at the formal opening of the second Solaire-branded leisure and entertainment property in Metro Manila, Tengco emphasised that Solaire Resort North signifies a pivotal moment for both the Philippine gaming and tourism industries. “This will definitely become a leisure and entertainment destination in this part of Metro Manila,” Tengco stated.

A landmark development in Northern Metro Manila

Located on a 1.5-hectare site in Quezon City, Solaire Resort North stands out as the first and only five-star integrated resort and casino in northern Metro Manila, extending its reach to nearby provinces. Tengco highlighted the extensive efforts and resources that went into creating this premier establishment.

“This jewel was not created overnight; it took years of meticulous planning, hundreds if not thousands of workers toiling day and night, immense resources poured into it, to bring us this development that is a class of its own,” Tengco remarked.

Setting a new standard for Integrated Resorts

Tengco acknowledged that Solaire Resort North sets a new benchmark for future integrated resorts, crediting Bloomberry Resorts Corporation’s visionary leadership. “For this, we owe our gratitude to the vision and unwavering determination of Mr. Ricky Razon and his entire team,” he said.

Government support and endorsement

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the inauguration ceremony, with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte also in attendance. Their presence underscored the government’s support for initiatives aimed at enhancing economic activity and job creation in the region.

Enhancing the entertainment experience

Bloomberry Resorts Corporation Chairman and CEO Enrique Razon Jr. highlighted the resort’s role in meeting the growing tourism demand in northern Metro Manila and adjacent provinces, which are experiencing rapid commercial and residential growth.

“We hope to serve the burgeoning tourism demand north of Metro Manila and the nearby provinces that are enjoying rapid commercial and residential development. We hope to bolster economic activity in Quezon City by encouraging visitors – both Filipinos and foreigners — to explore and discover the city,” Razon said.

Razon further emphasized the resort’s commitment to excellence in all aspects of its offerings, from architecture and interiors to gaming, cuisine, art, and entertainment. “We are bringing only the exceptional to Solaire North – from architecture, interiors, accommodation, gaming, cuisine, art, to entertainment,” he added.

The opening of Solaire Resort North not only represents a significant addition to Quezon City’s landscape but also a transformative development for the Philippine tourism and gaming sectors.
