Suntrust selects IGT as gaming contractor for Westside City project

Suntrust has announced the appointment of IGT Asia Pte Ltd. as the contractor for its Westside City project in Manila, slated to open in the first quarter of 2025. This decision was formalized through an agreement dated October 11, 2024, marking an important step forward in the development of this ambitious integrated resort.

Under the agreement, IGT Asia Pte Ltd. will be answerable for supplying and maintaining gaming management software, services and equipment. The contract is valued at approximately $4.72 million for the supply component, with an additional allocation of $566,520 for maintenance services.

The decision to give the contract to IGT came after a thorough negotiation process, during which Suntrust considered various factors, including estimated costs, market pricing for similar work, and competitive tender bids. Although IGT’s proposal was the second lowest among four contractors, the company’s overall experience and the advanced functionality of its products made it the best choice.

Its proven track record in the Philippines assures compliance with local government authorities and regulators for the Westside City project. Trading has been halted since February 14, 2024, as Suntrust navigates these regulatory requirements.
