Taking it to the next level – 1X2 Network

Kevin Reid, Chief Commercial Officer at 1X2 Network, writes about the provider’s ambitious plans for the year ahead after securing its Malta Gaming Authority licence

Securing a licence from the Malta Gaming Authority is a big deal for any online gambling organisation, whether an operator or a provider. 

After months of extensive auditing and investigating by the esteemed regulator, we are very proud to announce that 1X2 Network now counts itself among the list of prestigious providers to hold an MGA permit. 

The Malta licence allows us to further deploy on our strategy of partnering with operators targeting highly regulated markets around the world. Our games are already certified in jurisdictions such as the UK, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Sweden, Spain, Italy and Colombia. And now we can extend our reach even further. Our Malta permit comes off the back of a breakthrough year for 1X2 Network which saw us add some incredible titles to our growing portfolio of slots and casino games. 

We also forged partnerships with more tier one operators and brands and entered markets such as Spain and Romania for the very first time. One of our most successful game launches was our first Megaways licensed title, Pirate Kingdom Megaways™, which launched exclusively with LeoVegas before hitting the wider market. Pirate Kingdom proved to be a hugely popular slot even by Megaways™ standards becoming our most successful game launch to date. 

We also secured exclusivity with our latest 1X2gaming slot, Battle Maidens™, which debuted with Betsson in December before going on general release this month. Securing exclusivity with such prestigious operators shows just how popular our games have become, marking our arrival as a tier one game developer and content provider. 

Over the last 12 months we have integrated our games with a wide variety of operators, from differing markets including the likes of Winstar, Luckia.es, E-Play24.IT, Superbet.RO, SISAL.IT and many more.

In addition to our in-house content from our 1X2gaming and Iron Dog Studio brands, we have also delivered third-party content via our 3PI aggregation platform. 

3PI is different to other aggregators in that we have stocked its portfolio with titles from up and coming developers such as PGSoft, Habanero, Gamomat, Oryx and Kalamba Games with their own niches and target markets, while we have worked with unique studios as development partners such as the recently announced Black Pudding. This allows operators to stand out from their rivals with new and exciting content that players often can’t find anywhere else. Operators powered by 3PI now include large industry partners such as Iforium, Digitain and BTObet, with more operators set to join our roster of partners in the coming months. 

The success enjoyed in 2019 allowed us to start the new decade with incredible momentum which we will use to elevate 1X2 Network to the next level. As part of this, we will be providing our partners with more quality online slot and casino games than ever before, both from our in-house brands and third-party studios via 3PI. Our licences give us a truly global reach, and as we secure more permits throughout the year we plan to enter new jurisdictions and take our games even more players.
