The Hungexpo is easily accessible from central Budapest by car, taxi, or public transport. 

In Budapest, you can purchase tickets for public transportation from various locations, including: online, ticket offices, tobacconists, BKK customer service centers, and vending machines. When purchasing tickets, make sure to validate them using the validation machines located on trams, buses, and at metro station entrances.

1. Bolt (formerly Taxify): Offers taxi and ride-sharing services with easy booking and payment options. 

2. Főtaxi: A trusted taxi company with a user-friendly app for booking and tracking rides.

3. City Taxi Budapest: Another reliable option with a mobile app for quick taxi bookings.

4. TaxiHungary: Provides a dispatch service and app for arranging taxi rides with ease.

  • No visa required: Tourists staying in Budapest for 90 or fewer days do not need visas.
  • Currency: The currency used in Budapest, Hungary, is the Hungarian Forint (HUF).
  • Power sockets: In Budapest, as in most of Europe, the power sockets generally conform to the European standard CEE 7/4, also known as “Type F” sockets. These sockets are compatible with plugs that have two round pins. The standard voltage is 230 volts with a frequency of 50 Hz.
