Australia blocks 10 more illegal gambling websites

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) found 10 additional offshore gambling sites that breached the Interactive Gambling Act 2001

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has blocked a further 10 additional gambling websites believed to have been operating illegally within the country. This news follows continuous efforts on behalf of the Australian government to control unlicensed gambling sites.

After investigating brands with suspicious activity and numerous complaints from customers, the ACMA found 10 websites that breached the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.

It is reported that Bonza Spins, Pokie Spins, Golden Pokies, House of Pokies, Pokie Mate, Play Croco, Aussie Play, Golden Reels, All Spins Win, and PokieZ are guilty of operating illegally via offshore gambling sites.

Consequently, the ACMA has called for Australian internet service providers (ISPs) to block 10 more websites.

Since November 2019, the ACMA have blocked a total of 238 illegal gambling websites in Australia. As of 2017, the ACMA also reported they have pulled out 130 illegal services in the country’s market after employing illegal offshore gambling rules.
