La Française des Jeux (FDJ) awarded a €1 million prize to a devoted Céline Dion fan who claimed her life-changing Keno win using dates from the singer’s life. The ceremony took place beside Céline Dion’s statue at the Musée Grévin in Paris.

This fortunate player has a long-standing Keno habit, consistently playing two number grids for 13 years through the FDJ app. One grid is filled with personally significant dates, while the other is dedicated to pivotal moments in Céline Dion’s life. It was this second grid – featuring the singer’s birthday, her marriage date, and other family milestones – that yielded the €1 million prize on September 19, 2024.

The winning numbers drawn in Keno were 1, 3, 12, 16, 17, 23, 25, 30, 42, and 68. Among these numbers were symbolic dates like the birthdays of Céline Dion and her late husband René, along with the birthdates of their three children, all of which now carry even more significance for the fan.

Reflecting on her victory, the winner shared her emotional reaction: “When I realised I’d won a million euros because of Céline, I was shaking and in tears.” The FDJ’s exceptional prize-giving ceremony allowed her to stand next to Céline Dion’s statue, accompanied by FDJ’s representative, Isabelle Cesari. Visibly moved, the winner spoke about her enduring connection to the singer, saying, “I’ve loved her since her first appearance in 1983. Winning thanks to her is like a sign!”

With plans fueled by her incredible win, the fan looks forward to Céline Dion’s 2025 world tour and a dream trip to Canada, hoping to experience her idol’s home country firsthand. Beyond indulging in her passion for Dion, she plans to buy a house and treat her family. Despite the windfall, her devotion to her favourite Keno grids remains unchanged, and she plans to continue playing these lucky numbers, confident in her unique bond with the Canadian superstar.
