Industry leader Susan Foster steps up as Rivers Casino GM

Rush Street Gaming has announced the promotion of industry veteran Susan Foster to general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia. Foster, who has been serving as the property’s assistant general manager since April 2024, succeeds Eric Althaus.

Foster boasts of an impressive within the gaming industry. Having started as a table games dealer in the United Kingdom, Nigeria, and the Bahamas, she has steadily climbed the ranks, gaining invaluable experience in various roles and jurisdictions.

Her 14-year tenure in Mississippi, where she led table games and poker operations for Grand Casino & Resort and Bally’s Entertainment, was followed by successful stints at Odawa Casino in Michigan and Harrah’s Philadelphia. While at Harrah’s, Foster earned the prestigious Caesars Entertainment award for excellence in leadership, a recognition of her exceptional abilities.

In 2015, Foster transitioned to casino operations, joining Hollywood Casino as vice president of operations. She supervised various departments for over a decade and this included slots, table games, poker, food and beverage, security, and facilities.

“Susan’s broad worldview of gaming operations has significantly benefited Rush Street since she joined last spring,” said Tim Drehkoff, CEO of Rush Street Gaming. “Her history and familiarity with the southeastern PA gaming market has proven to be a great advantage for Rivers Philly.”

Foster expressed her enthusiasm for the new role: “Having worked in various gaming jurisdictions in America and several other countries, I’m both an advocate for and an example of the tremendous opportunities casino gaming provides. I’m very excited to be back in Pennsylvania at such a dynamic property.”

Rivers Casino Philly has partnered with the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and is offering Rush Rewards members exclusive perks such as complimentary stays and show tickets.
