VBET strengthens European presence with Malta Football Association partnership

The Malta Football Association has announced a new partnership with VBET, making the iGaming and sports betting operator the official betting partner of the Maltese Senior National Team. This collaboration marks a step in VBET’s ongoing expansion into the European market, complementing its existing relationship with the Malta Premier League.

Founded in 2003, VBET has consistently expanded its global footprint by partnering with prominent football clubs and associations. This new alliance with the Malta National Team solidifies VBET’s commitment to supporting football at various levels across the continent.

“We are proud to welcome the Malta National Team into our extensive portfolio of national team partnerships. Also being a partner of the Malta Premier League, our focus is on fostering the development of football in Malta and delivering unforgettable experiences to fans,” Aragats Asatryan, CEO of VBET said.

Bjorn Vassallo, President of the Malta Football Association, echoed this sentiment. “This collaboration with VBET is very interesting, as the betting operator continues its expansion in European football. This represents an exciting partnership for the Association ahead of the national team’s opening matches in the UEFA Nations League this September,” Vassallo said.

UEFA Nations League campaign

The timing of the partnership comes as the Malta National Team is gearing up for its UEFA Nations League campaign. The team will face Moldova and Andorra in away matches on September 7 and September 10, respectively. Home fixtures against the same opponents will follow in October and November. These games are seen as crucial opportunities for Malta to enhance its standing in European football.

VBET’s commitment to football

The partnership with the Malta National Team underscores VBET’s mission to support football globally. This collaboration comes on the heels of other recent VBET alliances, including a three-year regional partnership with the Argentina National Team and a sponsorship agreement with FC Dynamo Kyiv for the 2023/2024 season.
