Covid Maps – Ecml Covid

The covid-19 crisis is presenting a great challenge worldwide especially on the economic front. The ongoing impact is widely visible and significantly impacting a number of industries including the gaming industry where we’ve seen brick and mortar casino sites being hit hard. However, online casinos have quite clearly enjoyed different fortunes during COVID-19, with many sites getting higher rates of engagement than they ever did before.

In this video Alidad Tash first examines the spread of COVID-19 in the EU and non-EU nations within Europe. Both regions experienced a first wave in April, followed by a rapid decline in the early summer months. Unfortunately, a stronger second wave started in August and continues to wreak havoc across Europe.

The second part of the video focuses on which five EU nations have been relatively successful in battling the second wave, which seven are contending with a second wave almost as large as the first wave, and finally which fifteen nations are experiencing an even larger second wave.

We will periodically re-examine COVID-19 as it affects multiple industries and economies, as well as daily life in general.
