Casinos and game rooms in Peru to reopen with strong sanitary measures in place

Sanitary protocols and measures signed by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Rocío Barrios Alvarado have been approved in order to reopen venues

Casinos of Peru will be able to reopen and operate under a strict maximum 50% capacity requirement, dictated by the Phase 4 of the economic reactivation plan, approved by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism under the resolution N° 196-2020-MINCETUR.

In addition, security and sanitary measures will need to be applied with the utmost importance, much as in other places in latam. Mobile cashiers, which were serving seat by seat, will be suspended.

The ‘Sectorial Sanitary Protocol before the COVID-19 for game rooms’ plan, which dictated the measures explained above, is complementary to the Technical Document: ‘Guidelines for the Vigilance, Prevention and Control of the Health of the workers with risk of exposure to COVID-19’, approved by Ministerial Resolution N° 448-2020-MINSA.

The main focus of this protocol is preventive measures such as the disinfection before entrance, the constant cleaning of the machines and surfaces subject to be in contact with customers, the guaranteed washing and disinfection points, and the means of disinfection of the footwear.

No service will be given to those customers who fail to comply with the sanitary measures mentioned.
